Age: 14 years. Height: 4'11" Weight: 102 lbs. Birthdate: 30 June. Birthplace: Boise, Idaho. Organization: Shibusen. Alignment: Good. Personal Item: A purple ribbon tied into her hair.
Relatives:
- Mother: Merii Hitoehi. She works as a florist in Death City and has quite a many of intriguing looking bouquets she sells.
- Sister: Rosu Hitoehi. Currently she is also attending Shibusen as a Meister and seems to get in trouble constantly. Rosu is 12 years old but seems to be as capable- if more capable- of being a meister than Yuri. She still has no partner but is looking forward to finding one.
- Father: Location unknown.
Appearance: Yuri has a very small and skinny figure. She stands at a measly 4'11" and weights around 100 pounds but can still lift those that are up to 30 pounds heavier than her. Yuri is not very good with arm strength, believe it or not. She has a very strong right arm since she is right-handed but on the contrary has a weak left arm: one of the reasons why she prefers small, light, one-handed weapons over large and clunky two-handed weapons. Yuri has B-cups and is constantly annoyed at her breasts since they 'get in the way' of her running and fighting activities. Yuri has very pale skin and is capable of tanning so long as she doesn't stand in the same place constantly. If she is in a hot, sunny location for over two hours, she will develop sunburns like spring rabbits birth children. Yuri has fair leg strength which is most definitely better than her arm strength and can run long distances for long periods of time so long as she doesn't rush herself to her destination. Quick sprints are also possible but in very small bursts as otherwise Yuri will begin to feel side stitches. She is not exactly a smart person about running but knows a couple things about proper running from her mother.
Yuri's clothes don't differ too often. She wears a red sweater that is almost always zipped up to the top. When she's sweaty or feels like it, Yuri will lower the zipper. Never will Yuri take off the sweater unless if she absolutely must. An example of this would be, for instance, if the temperature outside was 90°F. There are times in combat where Yuri will be frustrated though and may toss her sweater to the side. Underneath her sweater is a light and dark blue T-shirt with a dark blue star where text would normally be on a shirt. The neck and from the shoulders down to the arms are dark blue while everything else is a prominent light blue. Yuri wears denim boot cut jeans on most to all days unless if it's a day where she isn't wearing her sweater. In said case, she will wear jean shorts that reach down to just above her knees. She dislikes showing off her rear end with tiny shorts and miniskirts and tries her best to refrain from wearing them. On casual days, Yuri's wardrobe may differ, but it's fairly rare. Yuri's shoes are black tennis shoes which are loosely tied and have pink marks hugging the edges of the shoe and a pink brand mark stamped on the back of the shoe where the heel and the Achilles meet. Yuri continues to wear the ribbon she got when she was a little kid and it holds a dear meaning to her: her future and success. Yuri's hair is of an odd shade, a violet purple. The shade is not exactly light per say, but it really isn't dark, either. The color intensity is at a balanced level. Her hair is kept long and loose, extending down to her rear. The only part of her hair that really is interesting is that Yuri ties in her ribbon to a strand off the side, usually one close to her cheeks. Yuri's eyes are purple like her hair; however, it the color in her eyes is slightly lighter when compared to her hair color.
Personality: Yuri is courageous and caring for others around her. She has ADHD and has a hyperactivity boost from it as well as the incapability of paying attention to things for long periods of time. Yuri's ADHD causes her to be incapable of paying attention for long periods of time to things whether boring or interesting. She tends to have to fidget around with objects while paying attention to things (twirling a pencil, messing with the ribbon, etc) in order to keep her attention more focused. Should Yuri have absolutely no distractions at all, she won't be able to pay attention to any long drawn-out speeches or things but on the other hand she can't have too many distractions as otherwise it would cause her to simply daydream and completely get lost in thought. While Yuri has issues paying attention to boring, long, menial topics, her attention is more than held when it's something interesting or something incredibly important to her. Due to combat being such a dangerous thing, she always ignores all other distractions before that (for instance, she wouldn't look over at the pretty bridge over there and start to daydream) even though it seems to be a natural thing for her to pay great attention during battle anyways. Yuri's ADHD seems to only affect her performance when completing a task or listening to long speeches.. which happens to be a good majority of school. Her grades are also affected by ADHD since Yuri finds homework boring and as thus cannot keep her attention focused on it.
Despite it being what can be considered a disorder, Yuri considers it a part of her personality. She has been offered medication for it before to calm her down and allow her to focus better but due to her beliefs, she refused to take it. Yuri is childish at times and while talking to people she seems to almost be playing around with them. at least, when she doesn't have stress or something important on her mind. Yuri has trouble with maturity and wants to mature too quickly and leave behind her cheery and overly hyperactive personality for a calmer and more collected personality but at the same time she wants to be herself. Because of the conflict between maturing and being herself, Yuri will be serious and mature at some times and goofy at others.
Yuri gets stressed out for seemingly no apparent reason at times and may take it out on people around her though she desperately tries not to do such a thing. The reasons for her stress seem to never end but the most common things involve school and her parents holding higher expectations for her than she seems to be capable to accomplish. Instigating her to argue with oneself while stressed is something that is highly inadvisable since she can be very snappy and rude and tends to hold grudges even after she's blown up in someone's face. She does in fact have anger management problems and 'counting to ten' as many people want her to do has no effect on her anger. She is easily provoked and goes into rages and rants loudly provided the circumstances are set. Yuri holds grudges like the sun shines when angered. There are times in her past where she has held a grudge against someone while she's in an angered state and completely forget the reason for the grudge later.
Yuri has a keen like for dragons, wolves, mythology, science, and videogames. She always pays attention during science class due to it being her favorite subject in school other than generalized soul study. Though at times ADHD will kick in and she may end up dozing off or daydreaming in the middle of it, she has the easiest time paying attention in said class. Yuri rarely if ever does her homework; this is a known fact by all her past and current teachers that makes her a problem child. She rarely finds inspiration to do it but will do it for grades from time to time since failing a class is at the bottom of her agenda. Yuri just has a lack of motivation as far as homework is concerned. Yuri is somewhat of a tomboy as most to all of her friends in the past and all of her social groups she's been in have been with guys as well as the condition of her voice's pitch. She speaks in a somewhat lower voice than the majority of girls she has bumped into (on purpose) but will speak high-pitched when agitated or excited. The reasoning behind her voice is that super high pitched or just high pitched girl's voices agitate her and even anger her from time to time. Yuri dislikes the 'most girls..' stereotype being that girls must be fluffy and weak. (You throw like a girl!)
The one thing that, upon being mentioned to Yuri, will get her flustered and/or angry is dating. Her mother and some of the few people she talks to at school tend to make jokes about her 'being wild in love with' any guy that she talks to. She really isn't interested in dating or relationships at all. Mentioning dating a guy she's friends with to Yuri is perhaps the easiest way to get her raging to date.. no pun intended. Going from the point of her raging, what specifically does she do when she rages? The short answer: lots of things. She becomes snappy and will, well, snap at people angrily while most likely complaining and whining in a very high pitched voice. If annoyed enough, Yuri will actually attempt to physically attack the offender with punches, kicks, bites.. whatever she can do to hurt the one who angers her. Of course.. she only gets physically angry if she's really pissed off.
Technician Style: Yuri, at the moment, does not specialize in any specific weapon but tends to stick with light weapons that involve close-range combat. Her style in combat, due to inexperience, is very sloppy but tends to involve getting the first strike by means of a surprise attack and then focusing on the defensive, taking opportunity of any openings the foe leaves for too long. The reason for the time amount needed for openings to be taken is that Yuri has issues reading the foe during combat most of the time. She is slowly improving, but for now, she stays weak. Having used a number of weapons, she seems to be most comfortable with the rapier and spear but is capable of using others such as daggers, fist weapons, and even light maces. Her preferred form of weapon tends to involve slashing or stabbing motions. On a random note by having used a number of weapons I mean that Yuri has picked it up and attempted to use it once or twice but no more.
Abilities:
Technique Name: Soul Perception. Effects/Description: Yuri concentrates deeply on the souls of others and becomes able to see weak outlines of nearby souls. She cannot see Kishin, Witch, or powerful humans' souls but she doesn't know that yet. She just figures she's too weak to see specific people's wavelengths/souls.
Technique Name: Emotional Perception. Effects/Description: Yuri concentrates deeply on the minds of others and becomes able to see random color hues that denote the emotional status of nearby beings. Warm colors tend to denote angry emotions or shocked emotions but can also mean happy emotions, calm and cool blues and purples being natural and calm emotions, and greenish colors tend to indicate worry, sadness, or loneliness. Colors will differ often and she cannot completely rely on the colors she sees to tell emotions. Yuri, for instance, may bump into a sad person with a red hue upon activating Emotional Perception. Yuri cannot see Kishin, Witch, or powerful humans' emotions but she doesn't know that yet. She just figures she's too weak to see specific people's emotions.
History: Yuri was a feisty infant even before her birth, kicking at her mom from within the womb. When she was born, she was taken back to her home by her mom where she lived for another four years- in the second, her mother gave birth to a second child- until suddenly one day her father walked out on her mother and left her. The house was expensive and so the mother had to sell it and settle for a small apartment in the middle of Tokyo. Yuri grew up through the first couple of grades with a major problem with her attention span in classes. When the teacher said to do math, she'd doodle. When the teacher said to write a story about her summer, she'd daydream. When she asked the teacher to go to the bathroom, Yuri would wander and look at the 'big kid's' classrooms. The teacher always became frustrated with her but when it came to 'fun stuff' like arts and crafts, science, and recess, Yuri was more attentive than.. well.. what people expected her to be.
There was one day in arts and crafts class when the teacher passed out ribbons of a color that the student could pick so that they could create something with it. Yuri picked a purple one since there were no blue ones left and heard a couple kids conversating about things they would do when they grew up. Jumping into the conversation, she blurted out loudly and excitedly in her 'outside voice,' "I'm going to be a DOCTOR!" and waved around her ribbon victoriously. One scolding from the teacher later, and she was sent home, still clutching her ribbon and crying because she couldn't focus on making any art and she ended up daydreaming. She was calmed down by her mother and she explained what happened slowly and calmly before picking up speed and talking loud and cheerfully. Yuri ended up even shouting out her dream again and then thought about it for a moment and changed her mind to a zoologist. After a couple more minutes of thinking about it and talking about it with her mother, she thought about profession after profession and simply got so confused she decided to go to sleep and forget about it until tomorrow, something that was unseen before then.
The next day, she asked her mom to put the ribbon in her hair so that she could wear it and show it off and her dream off anytime anyone asked about it. Due to the fact that she only talked to another kid with the same ADHD problems that she had, she didn't really show off the ribbon too much but instead considered it a treasure. A couple years later, when she was ten and in fifth grade, she still had these problems. Yuri was over-expressive and didn't have a filter for anything she said and laid herself bare open to anyone that talked to her, so much so that it creeped out some people and made her a social outcast. Yuri would complain to her mom and her self-esteem slowly deteriorated and from then on she put a cap on her expressive level.
Two years later, Yuri decided to take off the cap. It was a burden on her so much so that she would actually get chronic headaches often from being unable to say what she wanted to say, and took Advil for said headaches at least twice a week. As soon as she started expressing herself more, her mind cleared up and everything seemed to be clearer and she could think better. Her grades didn't do too much in terms of changing, but she gave it more of an honest effort in school to pay attention to lectures and take notes. Homework was something one could call foreign to her since her ADHD problems still continued into her teenage years. Even though her grades mainly consisted of C's, D's, and F's, she began to start putting in an honest effort into school academics. Yuri turned 14 and her mother found a job opportunity in a city in Nevada, known as Death City. Moving there, Yuri and her sister were enrolled into Shibusen and, well, that's where this all starts..
Extra Info: Yuri is terrified of heights and spiders. She can overcome her fear of heights with enough encouragement from herself but it tends to just not happen. Yuri, at the moment, does not specialize in any specific weapon but tends to stick with light weapons that involve close-range combat. Her style in combat, due to inexperience, is very sloppy but involves getting the first strike by means of a surprise attack and then focusing on the defensive, taking opportunity of any openings the foe leaves for too long. The reason for the time amount needed for openings to be taken is that Yuri has issues reading the foe during combat most of the time. She is slowly improving, but for now, she stays weak. Having used a number of dummy weapons, she seems to be most comfortable with the rapier, but is capable of using others such as daggers, fist weapons, and even light maces. Her preferred form of weapon tends to involve slashing or stabbing motions. Yuri's soul is a soft violet color and like other souls, hers is round. Yuri's soul has yet to be large enough for detail to be made out about what makes it unique in comparison to others. The reasoning for this is the following sentence: A healthy soul resides in a healthy body and a healthy mind. Quite frankly, her body isn't exactly as healthy as it needs to be as of the moment and her mind has been cluttered as of late.
