Relatives: The only known relative of Soul Evans is Wes Evans, his older brother. Wes Evans is said to be a master of the violin, and Soul has an inferiority complex towards him, as he believes he can never be as good as his brother.

Personality:Soul is kind and caring towards his friends. He drives a motorcycle, which he and Maka use for transportation. Soul tries to maintain a "cool" image, and very often states how cool he and his actions are. Being a cool guy, he almost always uses the direct approach to solve problems, which fails most of the time. Soul's way of absorbing souls is literally eating them. He sometimes becomes too driven by the idea of eating souls which leads him to bicker with Maka, but in the end they remain friends and partners. Soul may have feelings for Maka as he states he is "willing to die for his meister".
He has trouble showing certain feelings, claiming that he shares Crona's fear of being close to others. Soul normally seems more easygoing and relaxed than Maka, but he often displays great wisdom and understanding of how to help those around him. As such, his peers show great respect for his judgment and opinions. He can also be somewhat aloof at times, such as when he refused to play the piano at his friends' party.
Weapon Form: Soul's Scythe Form has a long silver handle. It is heavy and only Maka is able to wield it, because of how close their souls are. History: Soul Evans was born into a royal family, that consisted of many musicians, including his older brother Wes. Soul always wanted to find a way to break off from his family, despite his knack for playing the Piano. When it was discovered that he could turn into a weapon, he used this as a scapegoat to escape his family and go to Shibusen. There he met the technician Maka Albarn. He became her partner, and they have been through many adventures together, along with their friends.
In their first fight with their now-friend Chrona, Soul was cut by Ragnarok, and he was invaded by Chrona's black blood. Throughout many of their adventures, he has used this black blood to make himself more powerful, but he risks consuming Maka's soul when he does. In the end, he accepts the black blood as part of him, and moves onto a more mature and cool-headed persona. Soul and Maka are still partners after their battle with the Kishin, and still remain friends with everyone else.
Extra Info: Exceptional at the Piano, Soul is a fine pianist. He rarely enjoys playing for a crowd, though. It just isn't cool.
